GEORGIA USA GYMNASTICS BOARD MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 8,2001
- Attendance: Peggy Simpson, Kim Joye, Susan Durning, Becky Oppenheimer, Wynn Hernandez, Sheila Ragle, Michelle Pomerantz, Jean Dearmon, Debbie Roe, Brock White, Dennis Hayden, Chris Calvert
Absent: Jay Clark, Jackie Estes, Sennie Clark - Presentation of State Meet Judging Panel:
- Recommendation to award judges in the state only 3 hours of in gym training hours from Regional Training Camp to for fill their in gym requirement for State panels.
Motion: Michelle Pomerantz Second: Judy Prestigiacomo - Reminder that level 4/6 State has been awarded to Classic City.
- Motion to approve the June 13, 2001 minutes as corrected.
Motion: Wynn Hernandez Second: Brock White - State Board attendance Policy:
- The Board is to set future meeting dates at each board meeting.
- Compile a list of how each board member want to be contacted about each meeting (i.e. - e-mail, mail, phone) >
- Members that have missed 2 meetings will receive a letter regarding this policy.
- Any board member that cannot attend a meeting must give proxy to another board member for that meeting that he or she misses.
- Failure to abide by the above policy will require removal from the board.
- Level 4 Bars: Level 4 routines that have a kip in them will receive a 10.0 start value. Level 4 routines that have a pullover will have a 9.0 start value.
- Level 5 and 6 Team Finals: Motion to keep Team Finals formats the same as last year.
