  3. Jean DeArmon, Georgia State Judging Director, distributed sheets naming the judges for the USA State meets, 2007-08. The list was approved:

    • Level 7 State Meet – Motion Kim Wood, 2nd Sheila Ragle
  4. Regional Apparel – Judy Miller presented our decision to give regional team members a long-sleeved leo and a warm up, and coaches a team shirt. As we did last year, $5,000 will be set aside to give to the needy as chosen by the athletes. Judy Miller - $5,000 again this year, Sheila Ragle 2nd.
  5. TOPS – Judy Miller reported many gymnasts attempted and 7 made it to the National TOPS Testing in Houston on October 1:
    • 5 from Gymnastics Academy of Atlanta
    • 1 from Georgia All Star Gymnastics
    • 1 from Gwinnett Gymnastics Academy
  6. Ethics Letter to Pro Members will be composed by Drew Davis and submitted to Peggy Simpson by September 16, 2007.
  7. The Judges Cup will be held in California – because Georgia All-Stars December Outersquad meet would allow little time for the purchase of a reasonable airline ticket, Kim Wood moved to drop our intention to send Level 7 gymnasts and Michelle Pomerantz 2nd the motion.
  8. The draw for Level 6 State, to be held in Tifton,Georgia, will be done by Peggy Simpson.
  9. Kim Wood, Awards Chair, reported that perhaps we should move away from banners to something a bit smaller. She passed around a bro-chure and examples of acrylic plaques done in red, white and blue. The Board voted to let Kim look into this.
  10. Gwyned Bius, GA-NAWGJ Booking Agent, started a discussion of judges being requested for 16 meets this year. All members talked about this problem in detail. Gwyned will type a letter outlining the problems that are occurring and give it to Peggy for inclusion in the next newsletter.
  11. It was discussed that our GA-USAG Website should be made more user-friendly. A new look could be something we would want – all suggestions should be given to Peggy
  12. Brock White asked that for 2008-09 he once again be able to update all calendars as he updates the printed calendar. Approval was given.

The next Board Meeting will be at the Level 5 State Meet, the first weekend in December.
