Meeting called to order by Peggy Simpson, Chair, at 3:15 p.m. The meeting followed the Agenda as set by Chair, Peggy Simpson.
New Business:

The State Meet dates and bids were discussed and approved (motion Sennie Clark, 2nd Brock White) - every team requesting a state meet got a state meet!
- USA Level 2 and 6 - November 18-20, 2005 - Roswell Rec
- USA Level 5 - December 2-4, 2005 - Dream It, Tifton
- USA Level 3 and 4 - December 9-11, 2005 - Camden Rec, St. Mary's
- USA Level 8/9/10 - March 11-12, 2005 - Cartersville Rec
- USA Level 7 - March 25-26 - Tucker Rec

Qualifying scores were discussed. In view of the new routines this year, (motion Sennie Clark, 2nd Judy Prestigiacomo.
Compulsory qualifying score: 31.00
Level 7 and 8 qualifying score: 31.00
Level 9 and 10 qualifying score: 32.00THE CURRENT STATE CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING SCORES MAY CHANGE AFTER THE STATE BOARD REVIEWS THE EFFECT OF THE NEW COMPULSORY ROUTINES AND DETERMINES THE QUALIFYING SCORES THAT WOULD BEST BENEFIT GEORGIA ATHLETES.

State Meet entry fees will be $75 for optional and $55 in gym/$65 out of gym for compulsories State Meet Admission will be $6 in/$8 out.

Entry Deadlines for all state meets is THREE WEEKS prior to the state meet. The award and age groups will be determined as it was last year. The declaration date will be two weeks before the state meet, and the qualification* will be two weeks before the state meet.
*IMPORTANT: Level 8, 9 and 10 gymnasts MAY QUALIFY THE WEEK PRIOR TO THE OPTIONAL STATE MEET.

Compulsory Team Finals:
Level 4: 8 teams to team finals - warm up six, compete five, count four
Level 5: 12 teams to team finals - warm up six, compete five, count four
Level 6: 12 teams to team finals - warm up six, compete five, count fourEvery team in team finals will get a team plaque honoring their participation.

Level 7 will have event finals.
The top ten finishers on every event will qualify for individual event finals. The score given in the preliminary competition portion of the state meet will be added to the event final score for a state champion. Ties in qualifying scores will compete in the event finals. The fee for entering team finals is $10/gymnast per event.
Event finals will be run two events at a time, alternating. The judging panels for the event finals will be different from the state meet portion of the competition.
The top 5 finishers on each event will get an award.
The GA-USAG Board will pay for the awards (Sennie move, Dennis 2nd)

Judy Miller, our Tops Director, briefly outlined the new testing elements. T he next three TOPS testing dates will be:
June 18 - GGA-Lawrenceville
July 16 - GAA Kennesaw
July 23 - American Elite (Ft. Oglethorpe) -
The Board voted not to allow other state's meets to be put on the Georgia calendar (Judy motion, Drew 2nd).

The Georgia USAG needs a website freshening. The Board voted to ask TG Hawkins (MS) to help in setting up a new site (Sennie motion, Judy 2nd).

The financial report showed approximately $32,000 in the fund (but some bills are still outstanding).
A. The Board voted to let Peggy Simpson buy a new computer.
B. The Board voted to give $150 to each National and Brevet course participant.
The next meeting will be September 9, 2005 at 7:30 at Roswell Rec. At this meeting the Board will review the judges selected for the USA state meets.
