Meeting called to order by Peggy Simpson, Chair, at 8:15 a.m.
New Business:

Dates and Meet Sites for the 2004-2005 Georgia USAG State Meets (M/S/P):
USA Level 2 and 6 State, November 20-21, 2004 NW Georgia
USA Level 5 State, December 4-5, 2004 Roswell
USA Level 3 and 4 State, December 11-12, 2004 Pending
USA Level 8, 9 and 10 State, March 19-20, 2005 GAA at Pace
USA Level 7 State, April 2-3, 2005 Cartersville
The USA Level 3 and 4 State Meet will be awarded to Atlanta Metro if they can secure an outside facility. -
2004-2005 Qualifying Meet Deadlines:
Level 4 November 11, 2004
Level 5 November 22, 2004
Level 6 November 08, 2004
Level 7 March 21, 2005
Levels 8-9-10 March 07, 2005 -
Entry Fees for 2004-2005 State Meets (m/s/p):
$55 in gym/$65 out of gym for compulsory
$75 for optional regardless of site
Adjustments will be made for the 2005-2006 meet year. -
Gate Fees for 2004-2005 State Meets (m/s/p):
$3 children and seniors, $6 for adults, under 4 free for compulsory
$3 children and seniors, $8 adults, under 4 free for optional -
Late fees: $100 per gym program, $25 per gymnast (m/s/p)

Declaration Dates (m/s/p):
3 weeks prior for compulsory, 2 weeks prior for optional

Age groups – we will keep the ½ per session as is done now

State Meet Awards (m/s/p)
– Peggy will research giving medals to 100% of Level 10’s

Level 7 Suggestions:
2005-2006 – warm up/compete
2005-2006 – team or event finals -
Competition Format for Level 10 (m/s/p):
Level 10’s will compete on Saturday night
Other Business:
- Peggy will send a card and flowers to Harriette McMillan from the USA Board
- Ceal will link directions to gyms and try to get gym updates for the USA Gym Links
- Sennie Clark and Cynthia Davis will compose a senior tribute team for graduating optional senior gymnasts
- Judy will look into a year-end banquet or reception for graduating optional senior gymnasts
- Judy Prestigiacomo is our state TOPS representative. Toni Rand is our current Regional Rep, but we will elect a new one this fall. New state TOPS testing locations are on the web.
The next Board Meeting will be at Roswell Rec on Friday, September 10 at 7:00 pm. Jean DeArmon will present the judges for the USA state meets at this meeting.
